Since moving to Austin our cars have been feeling a little...well left out. See here in ATX almost every car is sporting a longhorn logo. Something similar to this
But they are like $16 each at the campus store! Thats like $32 to get one for both our cars....I think thats a bit steep for car decals. So I figured pssshhhh I could make something! I had some adhesive vinyl on hand that I figured I could cut using my cricut machine.
So I found a vector file online and set it up in sure cuts a lot
Grabbed my adhesive vinyl - I used brown for one car and white for another. You can buy adhesive vinyl lots of places, like Michael's or Amazon.

Then I cut it out with my cricut machine ***
And ended up with this:
This is how they looked on our cars:
Considering I already had the vinyl and the cricut these were Freeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Way better then $32!
If your not a Longhorn fan you could definitely do this project with other things, like your fav team's logo, or even those little family members that are on so many cars these days. You could also do words, the possibilities are endless!
** I know I used Silhouette vinyl instead of cricut, I just thought I'd see how it went and it worked just fine, the sizing is custom to the Silhouette though so for a big project you would probably want to buy the cricut vinyl if you have the Cricut and the vise versa with the Silhouette, but for small projects this worked just fine.
*** Sadly I recently dropped my Cricut machine :( So I am now in the market for a Silhouette, if anyone has a good coupon code for one let me know!!
